"Satanically based" is a vague, catch all statement, considering that most fundamentalist Christians/Muslims believe that any religion (other than their own) is "Satanically based"!!!! I've often thought that if we put a fundamentalist Christian and Muslim into a locked room, we might find out what happens when an irresistible force met an immovable object!!!! :wink:

I'll answer you honestly, i do not know much about satanism...

I do know they favor power and gaining the means to achieve it, other than that... my knowledge is quiet general regarding their religion...

I do know as well that they dont practice Satanism openly, even within their own chapthers, God is an important part of their religion, but they change and pervert chants and rituals so they are totally satanic in
nature...

And Guest you seem to know more about Satanism then I, so why dont you enlighten us...

This question shows me that you seem somewhat familiar with Dan Browns work ( even though I heard those terms in other places, i will use Dan Brown to ground the argument better ), then I will answer the question from his point of view...

According to Dan Brown,

Traditional Satanism is a more worldy approach to satanism focusing more on the arts of this world(politics, economics, etc...) than rituals... they see the world as a playfield with rules and they simply use those rules to gain their power without letting the rules of God( sins ) get in their way...

Modern Satanism is a fad created by the popularity and general mystery surrounding Real or Traditional Satanism.  Modern Satanist focus more on grotesque rituals then anythingelse, they are mostly punks and anarchists, whereas Traditional Satanist are people with more reverence and hold positions of much respect within the public...

Is that what you wanted to hear??

My knowledge comes from making a serious (objective) study of the occult in all its forms, along with history, sociology and anthropology.

Where many so-called "experts" on these matters stumble is by committing the fallacy of circular reasoning; ie, they begin with the unproven premise that their belief system is the only truth, therefore anything else must be a lie. It is very plausible for a credulous audience, but specious when looked at objectively.
